Professor Johnston was one of Australia鈥檚 most accomplished marine scientists and a highly respected university leader during a distinguished career across some of Australia鈥檚 leading universities.
A prominent national advocate for science and research, Professor Johnston鈥檚 contributions were recognised with her appointment as an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2018.
