鈥淲e welcome the report鈥檚 emphasis on providing higher quality, better resourced practical experience for teachers in training as well as the focus on mentoring and enhanced career progression, which we have advocated for.
鈥淲e also welcome the focus on bolstering pathways for mid-career teachers.
鈥淯niversities understand high-quality initial teacher education is fundamental to student learning outcomes and ultimately the strength of our nation.
鈥淏ut this is not the whole picture. Once teachers are in the classroom, we must ensure they are not held back by administrative burden and are supported in their career.
