Of the 265,000 domestic students who responded to the 2021 Student Experience Survey, 73 per cent were satisfied with their overall educational experience, compared to 69 per cent the year prior.����

In a separate survey of international students, 67 per cent reported satisfaction with their experience in 2021 – an increase from 63 per cent in 2020. ��

������˾�� Chief Executive Catriona Jackson said the results were testament to the adaptability of students, staff and universities, but acknowledged there was more work to be done. ��

“Despite the huge learning disruptions faced by university students through the pandemic, student satisfaction has fared well,” Ms Jackson said.��

��“We know there’s more to do to return satisfaction levels back to peak pre-pandemic levels.��

“Universities are working hard to deliver the best education possible – from delivering flexible learning options for students to enhancing the in-person experience now that campuses are reopening.����

“We want students to reach their full potential and contribute to society and the workforce as highly-skilled graduates, so it is encouraging to see levels of satisfaction with teaching quality and skills development holding up well.����

“Importantly, students have reported good levels of satisfaction with the support they have received from their university throughout the pandemic.����

“These results reflect the care and dedication of university staff who have gone the extra mile to make sure students – regardless of their location – feel supported.”
